Blizzard Entertainment is rolling out Season 9 of Diablo 4, titled Sins of the Horadrim, on July 1, 2025. This latest seasonal update introduces new challenges, endgame expansions, and fresh spell mechanics for players across all supported platforms.
The update launches globally at the same moment, though local times vary. Here are the scheduled unlock times by region:

* EDT (US East): 1:00 PM, July 1
* BRT (Brazil): 2:00 PM, July 1
* BST (UK): 6:00 PM, July 1

Players outside these regions can match their local time to 10:00 AM PDT for accurate launch timing. While the rollout is planned for instant access, server load may introduce slight delays.
The seasonal campaign centers on a new questline that tasks players with retrieving corrupted blood relics and confronting the returning demon, Astaroth. Progressing through the storyline unlocks Horadric Spells—customizable magical tools that enhance combat styles.
These modular spells include three core elements:
* Infusions: For elemental enhancements
* Catalysts: Governing primary spell behavior
* Arcana: Adding supportive or bonus effects
Experimenting with combinations allows for personalized gameplay approaches.
Post-campaign, Horadric Strongrooms become available inside Nightmare Dungeons. These timed challenges offer exclusive loot, including Horadric Tomes. Players can use these to craft Horadric Jewels, which improve gear with unique bonuses.
Veteran players can test their limits with Escalating Nightmares. This endgame feature requires completing three Nightmare Dungeons consecutively, each adding new affixes. Success grants access to an enhanced version of Astaroth in his Exalted form.
Season 9 includes a new Battle Pass with rewards like Platinum currency and exclusive mounts. Combined with updated dungeons and evolving mechanics, the latest season aims to deepen long-term engagement.
Players are advised to prepare builds, gear, and inventories ahead of time. As Sins of the Horadrim begins, Sanctuary faces its next darkness.
